Schools & Community

    • Breaking Boundaries is a free dance program for at-risk and vulnerable youth designed to create a safe learning environment that will address strategies to protect youth from predatory harm and empower them to see endless possibilities where they can learn to dream, believe and even become leaders of their own community. This program will serve participants from age 16-25 yrs old where they will learn skills like: performance art and music. We believe these are valuable tools that could help the youth see themselves in a positive light and navigate the world from the lens of culture and dance. Breakin Boundaries is a free 12-month program that consists of weekly 90-minute Hip Hop dance and DJing classes taught by local San Diego arts community leaders. These classes will serve as a safe space where youth can focus on building skills, self-confidence and developing a community that can act as a support system.

  • From the cypher to the career — know your worth, own your path.

Cyphers to Contracts is a professional development program created to give young, aspiring dancers the tools and knowledge they need to succeed — not just on the floor, but beyond it.

Too often, talented dancers step into the industry without access to the critical information that protects their work, builds their brand, and turns their passion into a sustainable career. This program bridges that gap.

Through workshops, resources, and real-world guidance, participants will learn how to:

    • Understand and negotiate contracts

    • Build a professional presence

    • Protect their creative work

    • Network with intention

    • Turn performances into long-term opportunities

Whether you're battling in the cypher or booking your first gig, knowing the business side of dance is just as important as mastering your craft. "Cyphers to Contracts" helps you step into your future with clarity, confidence, and the support to thrive in — and beyond — the industry. goes here

  • Collaboration in Action — Building Together for Greater Impact

Our Community Partnership Initiative is rooted in the belief that lasting change happens when we work together. Through this program, we collaborate with a wide range of local San Diego organizations, small businesses, artists, and community entities to co-create meaningful projects, events, and opportunities that serve and uplift our communities.

Whether it’s partnering on cultural festivals, educational workshops, youth programming, or neighborhood activations, this initiative is about combining resources, sharing knowledge, and amplifying local voices. By building strong relationships across sectors, we’re able to expand access to the arts, promote economic and creative vitality, and create spaces where everyone feels seen, valued, and empowered.

Together, we’re not just hosting events — we’re strengthening the fabric of our city, one collaboration at a time.
